Rahel who was educated in Amharic moved to Egypt when she was eighteen where she became fluent in Arabic. in 2001 Rahel moved to the UK and married and Englishman.

I moved to Egypt when I was eighteen and lived there for eight years becoming fluent in Arabic. in 2001 I fell in love with a monoglot Englishman who became my husband. I moved to West Bridgford in the UK in 2001.
